Fall in Love with This Valentine’s Day Activity!
Posted on January 27, 2026 by Jenn D
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Want to do a fun activity with your kiddos to get them into the holiday spirit? Well, then you need to check out this 2-part activity using conversation hearts candy!

- Print a copy of our Heart Sorting sheet.
- Provide a mini box or a scoop of conversation hearts.
- Have your kiddo start sorting the candy hearts by color.
- Want to add an educational aspect to it? Then, compare the different amounts (more, less, and the same).
- Print a copy of our Heart Graph sheet.
- Using the sorted hearts from the precious activity, have your kiddo start making a Heart graph.
- Want to add an educational aspect to it? Then, compare the different amounts (the most, the least, order them, etc.).

These are great for early learners into elementary school and beyond! I have used these personally and in the classroom, and they are always well-received AND the activity ends with a snack! You can’t go wrong with that combination!
Now, if you have a middle school to jr. high aged kiddo, then this version is more advanced for them. We will take it from this simple level above (you can still use those sheets if needed), but then have the kiddos complete this more challenging task. This sheet includes skills like estimation, greater than, less than, equal to, PEMDAS, fractions, and decimals. So, this is right on target for what they are doing in class! Just print this 3-page Valentine Candy Heart Math activity out for them to get started!
I hope your children enjoy these activities as much as my family (and my classroom students) did! Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
