I swear my dog has absolutely no concept of time… until food is involved. I can say, “We are leaving in five minutes,” and get zero reaction. Somehow, at approximately almost dinner time, I suddenly have a four-legged shadow following me around the house.

Walk toward the kitchen? Following. Open a cabinet? Following. Accidentally make eye contact? Oh, it’s ON. Apparently that means dinner is happening immediately. Lately, Purina ONE Dry Dog Food has been getting a pretty enthusiastic reaction around here.
You know how dogs do that thing where they hear ONE specific sound from three rooms away and make a b-line for that sound? For us, it is food hitting the bowl. *Shake. Shake. Shake.*
Suddenly, somebody who was just deeply asleep ignoring me talking to him is standing directly behind me like he’s been waiting there his entire life. Meanwhile, I am just happy that feeding time can be this easy. Scoop it. Pour it. Serve it, it’s that simple.
Both my dog and I obviously have some requirements when it comes to his food.
His requirements are basically:
- Tastes good
- More please
Mine are just a tad more complicated. I want something I can feel good about feeding consistently, which is one reason Purina ONE Dry Dog Food has earned a spot in our routine. They have different dry food formulas depending on your dog’s needs, so you can find an option that works for your pup and their stage of life. Meanwhile, my dog couldn’t care less about me reading the bag. He is just waiting for me to stop talking and put the food down.
Our days can be chaotic. We are running around, working, traveling, cleaning, answering emails and somehow adding seventeen more things to the to-do list.
Dinner? Dinner is very simple and easy thanks to Purina. Just me, one very excited dog, a scoop of Purina ONE Dry Dog Food and approximately zero patience while I fill the bowl with drool coming down the side of his face.
Tomorrow? We’ll do the whole thing again.
