Growing up in a military family means you learn early that service doesn’t just belong to the person in uniform. It belongs to everyone who packs up a life every few years. Everyone who waits through deployments. Everyone who learns resilience before they even understand the word.

My mom served in the Air Force before being medically retired, and watching my family and friends live through the military life shaped how I see military families forever. Even now, working in the film industry, I’m surrounded by veterans every day: grips, coordinators, camera operators, producers, actors, actresses, stuntmen and stuntwomen, creatives, people whose military experience still shows up in the way they lead, problem-solve, and care for the people around them. There’s this quiet understanding among military families and veterans that service never really leaves you. It just evolves.

This is why we all genuinely love what Stories of Service is doing right now.

As part of America’s 250th celebration, they’re giving away fifty $100 gift cards to military families, past and present, as a thank-you for the role they’ve played in shaping this country through service and sacrifice. The smallest gesture of appreciation can feel huge.

Whether your family shops at the Commissary for the weekly grocery run or heads to the Exchange for those random “we actually need this” purchases, an extra hundred bucks can go a long way.

Tap the link, enter your information, and you’re in. That’s it.

I promise no long essay, no complicated hoops, if you want to share video or photos you can too! It is just an opportunity created to celebrate military families and the stories behind the service.

If you’re anything like the military families I know, you’ve earned at least a shot at it. Good luck, and thank you for being part of the story!
