When the weather is nice and the sun is shining bright my mood is calm and happy. I absolutely love getting outside and taking advantage of all the fun activities, especially those that don’t cost a lot of money.
Do you ever write out bucket lists? These can be specific to travel adventures, hobbies, seasons or personal growth. We found some great ideas you can tackle this spring and they won’t break the bank. Whether you tackle these solo or with your family and friends, everyone will enjoy themselves and have a good time.

Bucket List Ideas:
- Visit a Local Farmers Market: Farmers markets are a great way to support your local community. They often have more varieties and sometimes the prices can be cheaper than what you’d pay in the grocery store. You can also pick up unique finds like raw local honey, homemade jellies or jams, and farm fresh eggs.
- Scavenger Hunt: Take a walk around your neighborhood or head over to a park for a scavenger hunt. This is a great activity for kids or teenagers who love using their cell phones. Create a list of items that everyone should find and take a selfie with.
- Berry Picking: U-pick farms are popular in the spring. Strawberries and blueberries are usually the most common fruit to pick. See what recipe you can whip up using your fruit or make a fresh smoothie for breakfast or a snack.
- Closet Cleanout: This requires a little work on your part, but the timing is perfect for spring cleaning. Purge old items or clothes you don’t want or no longer fit. Donating these items to a local shelter is a great way to support your community and make much needed space in your home.
- Outdoor Photo Shoot: Your backyard or a nearby park can be a great place to have a mini photo shoot. You really don’t need many props however you could incorporate low-cost items like bubbles, pinwheels, or balloons.
Try at least one of these activities each weekend and you’ll find yourself occupied for an entire month. Can you think of any other items that you would add to your bucket list?
