Now that you have successfully gotten your kid new clothes and conquered the school supply list, it is almost time for back to school! This is such a fun time, and I know we all love sharing our excitement with our friends and family via social media, but what should we be sharing online?

As military folks, we’re all familiar with OPSEC, or Operational Security, but what about PERSEC? PERSEC is all about your Personal Security, especially with so much of our lives being shared online. We should be able to share our kid’s memories with friends and loved ones but how do we do that safely?!?! We need to minimize sharing personal information like school name, teacher name, etc. that could potentially put our kids at risk!
