Rainbow Waffles
I am always looking for fun ways to get my kids in the kitchen and these rainbow waffles were just the perfect activity! These are a great way to make any everyday breakfast truly magical!
Supplies:
Ingredients:
- Waffle Batter
- Watkins Assorted Food Coloring
- Whip Cream
Directions:
- Make your waffle batter.
- Divide batter into 6 condiments containers.
- Add food coloring to make rainbow colors.
- Start adding batter, working your way in. Start with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple to mimic a rainbow.
- When waffle is cooked cut in half.
- Add whip cream.
- Enjoy!
Notes:
- I did use both the Natural Food Coloring and the Watkins Assorted Food Coloring because I noticed that some of the natural colors weren’t as bright, especially the red.
- You can add the colors before adding the waffle mix to condiment containers in bowls if easier. However, I was able to mix with a straw inside of the containers.
- If you have a kiddo that doesn’t like whip cream, you could also use marshmallows or marshmallow fluff!
My kids really got a kick out of these and we enjoyed having our very own rainbow! We hope you have as much fun with these as we did!
