The Force Is Strong with These Chewie Cookies!

We are a totally geeky family, especially when it comes to a galaxy that is far, far away! We get excites for the 4th of May because “May the Fourth Be with You” is a fun, out of this world holiday!

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • Make the cookie dough according to package directions.
  • Roll your gingerbread dough out on a floured surface and cut out some gingerbread men.
  • Using a fork, press down into the dough to form the hair on your Chewie Cookies.
  • Press down pretty firmly so the lines stay during baking.
  • If the cookies puff and smooth while baking, simply press your hair into the still warm cookie straight from the oven.
  • Let cool completely.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and pour into a small plastic bag with the end snipped off.
  • Pipe the ammo belt onto your Chewie Cookies.
  • Add the eyes.
  • Melt the white chocolate and pour into a small plastic bag with the end snipped off.
  • Add ammo dots on the belt and a mouth to each cookie.

Now, you can’t serve the Chewie cookies without some Beep-Boop Hot Cocoa!

Notes:

  • Instead of melting chocolate chips, you could use black/brown and white frosting.

Whether your family is a bit geeky like mine or not, the FORCE will be strong with this CHEWIE cookie!
