Dads & Grads: It’s Time for Celebrations, Gifts, and Making Memories!
Posted on May 24, 2025 by Jenn D
As summer is unofficially starting, you may have lots of celebrations happening in your world! Graduations are starting in some areas and Father’s Day will be here before you know it! So, we wanted to explore more about those Dads & Grads.
Let’s Celebrate
Graduations can happen a few different times in your life. From Pre-k or Kindergarten all the way through College, you may experience the excitement of closing a chapter in your life and preparing to start the next one. These are big milestones that should be celebrated, but who wants to celebrate alone? Not me and not most people! That’s why I was so glad that I came across Minted! They have great options for invitations for all of those important graduations that you are going to experience over time.
So, how are we going to celebrate Dad? Well, you should create something that he would LOVE! You can create Father’s Day cards, personalized picture cards, and more when you shop with Minted! The can be serious, silly, fancy, and even quite PUNNY, because we all know every dad loves a great pun or joke! Your imagination can run wild as you pick your design, create your own, or upload some of dad’s favorite photos.
Gifts
Graduates are so excited to move on to their next chapter, but usually the next chapter can be a bit pricier than the previous one. That’s why so many people gift money to graduates, but you know what they say…Time is Money! So, consider a gift of time from Timex. Their watches are reliable, affordable, and functional whether they are for kids, teens, or adults. I remember when I got my first Timex watch…It had Eeyore on it and I got it for graduating from being a little kid as I was now heading into Jr. High! I wore it every day for a lot of years…you could say it was the gift that kept on giving me more time!
Now, when it comes to Father’s Day, the “typical gift” is a tie. I have seen the popularity of the T-shirt with dad’s favorite show or TV character on it continue to rise, just like when I bought my dad an original Star Wars film T-shirt. Wanna know how many times my dad wore that shirt? NEVER! More than likely, they have enough ties, and they get T-shirts that they want when they need them. So, let’s consider that practical gift of time. You can’t always have your electronic devices on you, but in most situations, a watch is able to be worn at all times. There’s still TIME for you to check out all of the different kinds of watches that Timex has to offer for your #1 Dad!
Making Memories
Have you ever been to a high school graduation party where they have all of the school pictures around from when they started school until their senior year? Those are so fun and a great way to see how much they have changed over the years! I have also seen personalized books that have a couple pages per grade, featuring special events, school pics, and more displayed for guests to check out and take a walk down memory lane. We love our Shutterfly books that I have created over the years for all of my kiddo’s important milestones along this journey in school!
There could be so many great memories that kids have with their dad. So, take time to capture those memories and find great ways to display them. It could be framed, put on a special cup or mug, made into a mousepad or pillow, or my favorite…a magnet! This is my dad sitting on his back porch watching my son playing and having a great time at Papa’s house and I captured that level of peace, happiness, and love in that one shot. Shutterfly has a great selection of gifts that any dad or grad would love to receive. So, keep making more memories and finding great ways to gift them in a special and memorable way!
As we come into this season of celebrations, there are so many ways to share with the Dads & Grads how proud we are of them! How will you celebrate them this year?
Don’t wait—shop Minted, Timex, and Shutterfly today and make this season unforgettable.
