Stay Hydrated This Summer with Liquid I.V.

This summer is already heating up, and I am always looking for ways to keep everyone hydrated and cool! I don’t know about your kids, but when mine get going outside, I am constantly reminding them to drink water and stay hydrated. This week in Texas alone, we had humidity above 70% and temps in the 90s! YUCK! This is not the time to skimp on water or electrolytes. When water simply won’t do, I love to hydrate my family with Liquid I.V., which has 3x the electrolytes of the leading sports drink! However, they often get bored with the simple task of just drinking! What better way to add some flair to your electrolytes than to turn them into fun and cold popsicles! So grab your favorite flavor of Liquid I.V. and help your family stay hydrated this summer!

Equipment:

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz of Water
  • 1 Packet of Liquid I.V.
  • 10 Strawberries
  • 1 cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of Blueberries

Directions:

  1. Add water into your blender.
  2. Add Liquid I.V. packet of your choice.
  3. Add strawberries.
  4. Add Vanilla Greek Yogurt.
  5. Add blueberries.
  6. Blend to desired consistency.
  7. Add to popsicle molds.
  8. Freeze until solid.
  9. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • You can use whatever flavor you’d like of Liquid I.V., but we opted for the Kid’s Tropical Punch.
  • This recipe is fun because you can customize with whatever fruit you have on hand.
  • I did have extra “popsicle mix” leftover, but we drank it like a shake. It was really delicious! My kids all approved.

My family had so much fun cooling down with these hydrating electrolyte-filled treats! I hope these help your family enjoy the great outdoors safely and healthily this summer!
