Anytime my pup gets to stay out all day she’s definitely a happy camper, but she does get restless and bored, so we have to find ways to entertain her. If you are planning to take a little down time this summer or you will be hanging out on the weekends, then you should definitely put together a staycation for your pets.

Here are some fun ideas:

1. Scavenger Hunt: Hide some toys or treats around your house or backyard. They will have a blast exploring and finding the hidden treasures.
2. Backyard Photoshoot: Grab some of pets favorites outfits, costumes, or props such as sunglasses and bows.
3. Playdate: Send out invites to your friends who own pets. You can also enjoy your friends’ company in the backyard by heating up the grill, listening to music, or playing outdoor games.
4. Water Play: Grab a kiddie pool, and let your pet cool off from the summer heat. You can also purchase some sprinklers, they will just love that.
5. Make Frozen Treats: Hang out in the backyard and enjoy some homemade frozen treats. A tasty treat is frozen bone broth soaked carrots.
