How to include your pet in your holiday traditions!

When the holidays roll around, you don’t have to forget about your fur baby. Make your pets a part of the family traditions and if you are not sure how we have some great ideas for you. Everyone in the family will surely have fun taking part of these special activities.

Photos: Let’s start out with some holiday prep. Leading up to the big day capture the memories with some family photos, a holiday card or have a photo shoot specifically for your pet. You can get fancy with a costume, hat or holiday themed collars. Don’t forget to check your local pet stores; many of them offer free pictures with Santa.

Treats: Who doesn’t love cookies and treats during the holidays? Homemade cookies are so easy to make and there are tons of recipes online. If you aren’t a master chef don’t worry; you can grab some treats at your local pet store.

Stockings: Don’t leave your fur baby out of the festivities! Create a festive stocking to hang on the mantle and feel free to stuff it with toys and treats.

Gifts: If your family puts gifts under the tree, be sure to wrap up a nice surprise for your pet. They will appreciate it!

Dinner: I can personally say that during the holidays I look forward to my favorite meal. Luckily, pet food options have gotten so creative. You can purchase turkey, lamb, chicken, beef or salmon for dinner. These options come in wet and dry food and I’m sure your pet will love it.

Enjoy this holiday season and feel free to start new traditions.
