Peach Muffins: Our Go-To Snack for Busy Days

There are a handful of recipes that instantly bring smiles in my house, and these peach muffins are at the top of that list. My toddler loves helping me bake them — from pouring flour into our KitchenAid mixer to scooping batter into the muffin tin, he feels like the head chef. Honestly, I love watching him get excited about making food we’ll share together.

These muffins are simple, fruity, and perfect for little hands. No fancy steps or tricky techniques — just wholesome ingredients and a few minutes of mixing. The peaches give them natural sweetness and a soft, juicy bite.

Whether it’s breakfast, a snack after playtime, or something to tuck into a lunchbox, these muffins never last long around here.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1½ cups diced peaches (about 3 medium, not overripe)

Directions:

  • Prep:
    • Heat oven to 375°F
    • Line or grease a 12-cup muffin tin
  • Mix:
    • Add all the ingredients (except peaches) into the bowl of a KitchenAid mixer
    • Beat on low until smooth and combined
  • Fold in Fruit:
    • Gently stir in the peaches
  • Bake:
    • Scoop batter evenly into muffin cups, filling about ¾ full
    • Bake 20–24 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean
  • Cool & Enjoy:
    • Let muffins rest in the pan for 5 minutes
    • Transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling
    • Serve warm or at room temp

Notes:

  • One tip I’ve learned the hard way: don’t use peaches that are too ripe or mushy. They’ll collapse in the oven and make the muffins soggy. Pick ones that are ripe but still a little firm, and you’ll get the best texture.

These peach muffins are quick to make, toddler-approved, and a great way to use fresh peaches! They’ve become one of our reliable go-to snacks — simple, tasty, and always eaten up fast.
