I’ve officially lost track of what day or week this is.

I am so thankful to be safe at home, but the monotonous schedule of being confined with kids can, at times, be hard.

When I wrote the last article, we were in the beginning stages of quarantine and now I think we are over a month in and I’ve had time to get creative and think a little outside the box to keep my kids occupied with items I have at home.

Quarantine carnival

This was by far my kids favorite activity! I brought the carnival home! I made paper tickets, handed a few out, they then had to earn more by playing various games…once we were done they were able to redeem their tickets for snacks.

Toilet paper knock out

Face Painting

Water races

2 empty squirt bottles, 2 toys and they were off to the races!

We then made homemade funnel cakes 🙂

Cosmic Quarantine Bowling

Get out the old Christmas lights and create an alley. We used paper towels as pins and used a ball we had, turned lights off and music on, and had a ball!

Zoo Safari

I took my kids stuffed animals and placed them (some hidden) all around our yard.

They each were given a checklist of all the animals we could find while I pretended to be the tour guide while they enjoyed a nice wagon safari ride 🙂

Beach / Water day

When warm weather graces us with its presence, we welcome it with open arms. We made our own makeshift “beach” complete with fake sand ….and yes, that is in fact a storage container filled with water…definitely kept my kids entertained for a solid 2 hours 🙂

Princess Tea Party

Have everyone dress up for tea and mini sandwiches. Don’t forget…Pinkies up!

Go camping indoors

Bring the Outdoors in!

We haven’t done this one yet, but we plan to this weekend!

Camping indoors complete with s’mores, movies and popcorn all in a tent within our living room… not to mention there will be ac/heating, no bugs and running water 😉 We cant wait!

What are some fun things you’ve done with your kids during this time?
