Nutella Milkshake Recipe
This Nutella Milkshake recipe is perfect for chocoholics and Nutella lovers, and a delicious way to stay cool in the Summer… And, if you were curious, it’s pronounced nuh-tella in the UK. We sometimes call it new-tella here in the U.S. But one thing’s for sure, however you say it, I think we can all agree that it’s downright yummy!
I love my kids, I really do. I’d do anything for them to make sure they’re happy, healthy and safe..but today, I truly understand why some animals eat their young. When you have several young children living under one roof, it’s natural they’re going to play together and have a hostile episode or two with one another over the course of any given today. Today, my children had several and to make sure I didn’t lose my mind (or anymore of my hair) we implemented 2 different quiet time periods throughout the day.
All I can really say is thank goodness for bedtime. After a day filled with crying, tantrums, full blown meltdowns and “she did this” and “she did that”s, I was so relieved when the last pair of eyes closed and I was able to get the peace I’ve been craving all day! I finally caught up on the dishes, had a slice of cold pizza (because what mom actually gets to eat while her food is hot?) and grabbed a quick shower.
Dishes done, finally clean and appetite somewhat satisfied, I decided that the ticket to topping off the day and rewarding myself for not completely losing my sanity, was a Nutella Milkshake. Chocolate with a hint of hazelnut, is absolute perfection however, this recipe takes an everyday staple and combines it with a couple of extras to make one sinfully delicious treat. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether or not you want to share with the kids or not.
For those of you who are interested in making this at home, which by the way you can probably do tonight since you probably already have the ingredients, here’s how to make it:
Nutella Milkshake Recipe
2 c. Vanilla Ice Cream
4 tbsp Nutella (feel free to go nuts on this part)
1/2 c. milk
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup if desired.
Annnnd there you have it! YUM! A guilty pleasure for your taste buds that you can enjoy any time of the day, especially if your kids have run you ragged this summer.
