Have you ever taken a leap and visited a new place on a whim? Well, a few years ago, that’s exactly what I did. While stationed in the U.K., I decided to look up some cheap flights. In my opinion, that’s one of the best things about being overseas…it’s so cheap and easy to travel. I had never heard of this place, but we decided to book a flight, because the tickets were priced so low! I must say…it was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. I kept my schedule wide open and just went with the flow. We explored Valletta, which is the capital city of Malta, and we really enjoyed our hotel and all of its amenities. 

Malta is an island country in Southern Europe, located in the Mediterranean Sea, between Sicily and North Africa. It has such an old world feel, but the vibes and party atmosphere were also great.

I enjoyed taking in the views and the food. Although, I must say, one of the restaurants we passed on the street had a very interesting menu. The question becomes…do I play it safe or try to local cuisine?!?!

The ocean water and caves of Blue Grotto were so beautiful, and we got the chance to ride on a speed boat which was so much fun.

I’ve never seen a place like Malta and if I ever have a chance to go back to Europe, I will definitely visit again. This place should be added to your bucket list!
