There are so much more than just the A’s, the B’s, and the C’s in our military world. We are going to explore all of the terms and acronyms surrounding education.
Education Acronyms & Words:
- DoDEA – Department of Defense Education Activity
- Montgomery G.I. Bill – MGIB or MGI – qualified service members can get moneys towards education and training programs
- Post 9/11 GI Bill – Helps pay for school and some expenses towards your college career
- CCAF – Community College of the Air Force
- TA – Tuition Assistance Program
- MyCAA – My Career Advancement Account – Scholarship Program for select military spouses
- DoDDS – Department of Defense Dependent Schools
- NCOA – Non-Commissioned Officer Academy
- OTS – Officer Training School
- PME – Professional Military Education
- SNCOA – Senior NCO Academy
With all of the acronyms, you may feel like you need to go to military life school so you don’t say, “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”! However, we hope that we are putting this information into nice bite-sized pieces for you to master and make it easier for your to get your Military Life PhD!
